Overview

Mbarang'andu Wildlife Management Area is part of the Selous-Niassa Wildlife Corridor. The area borders Selous Game Reserve in the North and in the South with Mozambique. On the Eastern side, the WMA borders Ludewa and Mbinga districts.

Animals to find

Elephant, Hippopotamus, Leopard, Buffalo, Lion, Hyena, Zebra, Bush pig, Warthog, Hartebeest, Wildebeest, Sable antelope, Reedbuck, Wild dog, Aardvark, Silver backed jackal, Python, variety of small mammals and variety of reptiles, amphibians and birds.

Vegetation

Comprises dominant vegetation type of open woodlands and a mixture of shrubland.

How to access?

Through Mikuyu airstrip and by roads from different parts of the Southern Highlands.
